Kalen was retained by Defence Construction Canada (DCC) to provide construction and project management expertise to DCC and DND project managers during the massive reconstruction of Canadian Forces Base Namao.
Kalen's primary role was that of troubleshooter, responding to construction methodology and costing problems. The Company would identify the root causes of problems and then provide timely and cost effective solutions for implementation by DCC, their General Contractors and trade companies.
Through timely and innovative problem solving techniques, coupled with extensive construction expertise, Kalen was able to save DCC and Canadian taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of the redevelopment.
